Toccata for Percussion Quartet  was composed in 2012.  I wrote most of the work in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania at the kitchen table of my friends Lisa and Paul Lonie.  Lisa was in the kitchen the morning I finished the work. I had been mulling over several titles and so I asked Lisa if she'd mind listening to the piece.  Afterwards I said "I've been thinking about  naming it Toccata. What do you think?"  "Ya think?,"  she said.  And so it is.
